I really enjoyed it! my favorite after POA, I think. I don't really get ragey about the changes anymore but there were some things I wish they'd done differently. i liked hermione's scene with her parents. i think that was a good scene that took advantage of the fact that the films can show things other than harry's pov but was still relevant.
i wish they hadn't cut out the dudley scene i liked the wedding scene but i wish it was a bit longer. also, what the hell was that scene where they just keep throwing spells at the locket? useless imo wish they would've put the conversation between harry and ron after the lake scene. i hated that bit at the malfoy's when they look up at the chandelier and just stand there. super cheesy and it made it hermione/bellatrix's scene less scary
I agree with everything you've said. Although, I do like the locket scene, with them throwing spells at it. It drives the point home that you can't destroy the horcruxes by normal means.
if I got really nitpicky I didn't like that they made it look like they didn't spend weeks planning for the ministry infiltration, they don't have to show all of it maybe make them seem more knowledgeable about it, maybe say something about weeks of planning being for
but that's if I got really nitpicky but it didn't bug me that much, overall I really liked it. maybe I'll rewatch it tomorrow, that seems like a good idea
I also got pretty nit-picky with Part 1. Overall, I liked it. I would say that the quality of the film is up from previous installments, but I am not sure if any of them can knock PoA off its pedestal. Maybe Part 2. But I have to say I was definitely impressed with the acting in the Ron and Harry fight scene, and the dancing scene. Part of me was freaking out about the dancing addition, even though I did agree that it fit well and did so much for the characters and overall mood. But blah, I guess I will always be a purist at heart.
I actually love the Ministry of Magic scene, where they have to RUN FOR THEIR LIVES. There wasn't a lot of action in that movie, so that's probably why. Also, the snake fight. Love it. HE DUN GOT BIT.
The Ministry of Magic scene was great. This is a weird thing to notice but I liked how Yaxley was flinging those hexes, it seemed more natural than using a dueling stance or whatever.
One of the parts that made me go :| was that they didn't have Harry take Mad-Eye's eye out of Umbridge's door! It would have been like, an extra 2 seconds. why wouldn't they film it?
