Very nice story, expanding on canon in a plausible and interesting manner.

The tension between Minerva and Amelia was palpable and I could easily feel and 'get' Amelia's hesitation as well as her longing.

I loved that you have written from Amelia's pov and she has a very nice and IC 'voice' here!

some things I noticed:

-the exchange between Fudge and Amelia - just like it would have happened and Amelia is lovely sly here.

-the scene between Amelia and Minerva after Black's intrusion and then the turning point with Minerva's "You used to think otherwise." Ha!

So good that, in the end, Amelia grasped that little opening provided to her by Minerva :-)
