Oh, this is such a smart, interesting piece of art.

I appreciate the explanation of your influences, and the way that you map the composition of the painting by Reni on to the story of Merope and Riddle, Sr. is so clever. The coloring is gorgeous, too. Very nice!

thank you so much! I really looked for a more sympathetic moment for Merope, but when I found the theme of Potiphar's wife, it seems like a great source to riff on.
