I recommended this story instantly. I love it. It does not have an unhappy ending for Regulus. He is happy, and if portents are bad, that is another story. In fact this is exactly the kind of ending I love. Rabastan brought a kitten! Your Rabastan is perfect! And Abraxas! And Regulus! And even young Severus! The point of view is wonderful, so unusual - omniscient without really being so. The kitten, the stones, Rabastan's entrance, the dark, the Dark Lord, Regulus taking the Dark Mark. This was exactly what I needed today. Thank you so very much. It means a great deal.

Also here because of verus_janus. I love the contrast between the generations and classes, the old guard and the new. Abraxas is lovingly portrayed as worried about the future of his world.
