Since you asked for slytherin!Ron, I just kept wondering how the heck he'd end up there in the first place, which led to this:
"Hm, another Weasley, eh? Would be nice for Gryffindor to collect the whole set, but let's take a proper look at you. Not studious enough for Ravenclaw, but you certainly have the loyalty to make a good Hufflepuff -- no? Very well, then. So. Brave and direct; you'd do quite well in Gryffindor, but that's not what you want, is it? More than anything, you want to stand out from the crowd -- no more hand-me-downs, no more following in your brothers' footsteps. You want to be great. Better be... SLYTHERIN!"
And that's when Molly sent the howler, 'cause you know she'd freak out at the thought of one of her boys going to the "bad" house...
