I made a purchase today too. I went to JOann's for needles and came home with 3 yards each of two different strak trek cotton prints. Ahem. Because Star Trek!
Actually, Jasper is my crush. But there's a whole story to how I name my stuff.
When I got my first iPod nano, it was lime green...too green. So I named it Forks.
I got an updated nano a year later that was bronzey orange and named it Edward.
Shortly after I got a blue shuffle and named it Bella.
So when my parents bought me an iPod Classic that was SO much larger than my others, I named him Emmett. ;)
My car is named Alice because she's tiny, a Prizm, and she takes me shopping. ;)
My first iphone was named Carlisle, the second Cullen, my current Garrett.
My nook is named Esme.
My external hard drive is Zaphrina, my red jump drive is Renesmee. My old red laptop is Rosalie. And my current is volturi.
But Jasper... I saved that name for something more important. Jasper is my crochet hook. I am emotionally attached to him. When I've lost him briefly I've CRIED. BIG TEARS. we are close. ;)
Oops pressed send too quickly! There was a winky after my last comment. Also, yay for a new device! And audio books while sewing... you've just opened a pandoras box for me.
Haha yeah I got the Monkeyman reference right away. :)
Your devices are very appropriately named!
I've heard the HP audio book's narrator isn't very good. Or is that Twilight's narrator. I think it was Twilight. Hmm... in any case, what's your opinion? On both, I guess.
Depends on the version. I LOVED the US version read by Jim Dale. He's the one that got me in to audio books. I was not as impressed with the UK version read by Stephen Fry. (And I love Stephen Fry!)
The Twilight reader isn't...bad. Just not as good. And in Breaking Dawn (and the end of Eclipse), there's a secondary reader for Jake's POV and I don't like how he reads female characters. But I've grown used to them.
I'd have a hard time living without my ipod, too. I have two now, but only because my brother in law was able to fix my dead one. I mostly use my Nano for my audiobooks, just adding a few at a time as needed. My Classic has all my music on it. :)

I love tucking in one of my iPods and picking an audiobook to get lost in while sewing. HP books are awesome for it.
Also, the reason my new iPod is named Monkeyman is because he's replacing Emmett.
My mom's first iPod Classic was named Jacob Black (because it was a black iPod). Her second one (after she killed her first) is named Jake.
