Are you still curious?

It's day 6 about now, right?

Well, technically, I suppose it's Sunday...even in Washington...but maybe I'm on Hawaii time right now....

Or, in truth, it's around 2:30 in the morning and I haven't gotten to bed yet.

In light of that, I will post Day 6 progress pics for your pleasure....

I think you will like it in here.... )

I LOVE the eye of the tiger blankie ... that is beautiful ... I'd love to do that one and I think a scrappy version of it would look great ... ya could use different colours in the large black part to give it a more scrappy look

I think you are on to something... like maybe variegated instead of black... oooh! or black as the outside color and BRIGHT variegated as the inner part...

As I start writing up the pattern, and when I have a bit more time, I will see what I can do about some more scrappy choices. :D

I think your design lends itself to so many options.... hopefully it's not too difficult for my first time with colorwork.

Eye of the tiger looks great! Aunty Psycho's idea of different colors is good too... I'm thinking Black instead of the orange and where the black is different broght colors... like a stained glass window...

I've done a "stained glass" pattern before. It's fun! :D

Especially if you use different colors in the different sections.

The original pattern I designed was 1/5 scale....so it could be done with 25 squares, and with different colors. But I HATE piecing together....

Thanks!

I love the look of black with bright colors, yet I never do it. Maybe it's time to try...

I'm going to work up some candy corn ami's soon. Maybe I should see if I can make up a bunch of those before I start Xmas projects....

What kind of thing would be a good Halloween blanket?

I think a haunted house scene with a full moon and scraggly trees would be a great Halloween image. Unfortunately, it might get a little complicated.

Have you seen the amazing paper piecing design "A Little Haunted" that ofenjen created? That is sort of like what came to mind.

Candy corn amis would be so cute!
