Mod Post - Question

Hey, all

Following a chat, I had a thought of a way to keep the comm going, but as you're the ones who are actually keeping it going...

Would you have any interest in having some shorter, single-topic challenges, where you would only enter 4-5 icons for each prompt? (similar to the way trekicontest or abc_foodie, etc, are set up

I feel like I have made icons of every scenes from every HP Movies, so my interest faded. All the HP icons challenge communities that I had/where part off died in the past years, so it is not a surprise if this one becomes inactive as well for lack of interest, sadly.

Also, I prefer to make icons of fandoms that I will use as userpics, and I always choose to comment with an userpic according to the subject of the posts, and HP icons are not useful for me since most HP Comms are inactive.

I might participate if there are other challenges about the HP actors, because there is always new pictures of most of them, but I mostly remained here to vote in the polls, and to give feedback on the icons.

I appreciate the input! Also, I totally understand about not having an active fandom -- aside from HiH, I don't know that there is an active HP fandom out there.

Still noodling some ideas, of course (mostly trying to figure out how to get myself into a mindset of actually running a 20in20 that was mostly inherited by default) -- I've much preferred to participate than lead, honestly.

There are still SO MANY active HP fests and communities. It surprises me to see people say there are no more active HP comms.

Although they are more for writing and stories, so that could be where the disconnect is possibly.

Since there aren't any active HP icon comms any more, I'd love to see a variety of challenges here.
But due to the name of the comm, I would like for there to still be some 20in20 rounds as well.

Maybe for some other challenges you could do 10 in 20, color pallettes, pass it ons, weekly prompts, etc?

I will try to participate more often because I don't often think to make HP icons and I'd love to play around with graphics for this fandom more often, but I am more likely to participate more often if I'm only required to make one or two icons instead of so many at a time!

Also, if you need an extra mod to alternate the challenges, let me know :)

Normally I prefer longer. But a mix of both is always good, whatever keeps this community from not closing is fine with me. So if shorter is what it takes, then I am all for it. How about some icon battles? But the one claim (like Hermione) is a good idea as well. Hopefully more will join and enter with the new book out. :)
