Ahahaha, I've just been reading a bunch of things you wrote back in 2004, so it means a lot to me that you like it. It was probably one of your fics that inspired this drabble. Thanks for commenting!

He *is* cute, and I love reading and writing him, but I'm never quite sure if he's OOC or not. On one hand, I suspect he's really insecure about personal relationships (even though I'm sure he's very confident of his magical abilities and intelligence), so that supports the needy!Snape theory. OTOH, he's not a Gryffindor, so it may be OOC of him to have the courage to admit that need. At any rate, I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for commenting.

That's cute. I can so see this happening while they're young. Still students, perhaps.

Actually, I saw them as adults when I was writing it, but now that you mention it, they could very well be young. After the Prank, but before Snape joins the DEs, maybe.

I figure, every little bit of Snupin helps.

Indeed. :-) And I like both how Snape is driven to ask (as indirectly as he can manage it) and how Lupin is all-too-ready to assume the worst. They're both proud and insecure, our lads...

Insecure is the only way I can write Snape, and it makes sense for Lupin, too, especially since he's lost all of his oldest friends. (I tend to forget about the whole Tonks thing, because, Snape/Lupin!)

Thanks for the great comments!
