Title: One Winter Morning at Durmstrang
Character: Viktor Krum
Rating: [G]
Challenge: Other schools
A/N: The Pepperup potion makes an appearance because I'm sick and wish I had some; but it makes sense that Viktor probably drinks it so he can swim in icy water in the morning with no ill effects. Spoilers for Books 5 and 6 if you wanna look at it ( Read more... )

Poor neglected Krum.

Yes. I feel bad for the guy. Stuck with Quidditch Bunnies, attracted to a girl who doesn't even give him a second thought and who may well have used him as a ploy to make Ron jealous, then bewitched, and losing the headmaster of his school.

Poor Viktor.

*sniff* Poor guy! I especially liked the last line. So, I must say it again, Poor guy!

Ooh, LJ didn't inform me of your kind comment. Thank you.

He genuinely liked her and she was just using him. Grrr.

Thank you.

I feel bad for Viktor. Used by Karkaroff, used by Barty Jr, used by Hermione.

Poor guy.

Aww, that was nicely bittersweet. I always felt kind of sorry for Krum… Kudos on a good ficlet :]

Thanks much.

I felt sorry for him from the water task onward. Hermione just blew him off. And continued doing so.

Fleur gets to appear in the later books but no sign of Viktor so far. I feel like the poor guy was just a foil to make Ron jealous. Such a waste.

Aww poor Krum! Puts him in an entirely different light. Nicely done. ^_^

You think?

I never really saw him as unsympathetic. Just misunderstood and kind of awkward. JKR did go to some effort to make him out awkward. With the heavy brow and the duck-footedness balancing out his whole King of the Air Quidditch star thing.

*nods* But I really didn't care for him or his outcome throughout and post GoF. So now with the movie and the recent drabbles of him, I'm like "Hm... He really did care for Hermione and she kinda did lead him on." So now I see him as a much more whole character than before. ^_^
