Steve Slytherin hated his brother. Sure, lots of people hated him because he was proud and ambitious and would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. To be honest, Steve hated him for those reasons too. But mostly Steve hated him because next to Salazar, Steve was invisible. Not the good peeking-into-windows kind of invisible either.
In another family, Steve would have been a star. But Salazar was a genius. He could do anything, and what he couldn’t do, he faked. Everyone said Salazar would make history, while Steve knew he himself was destined to be a mere footnote.
