Disclaimer: I am responsible for neither Harry Potter nor tarot, although I doubt the latter’s under copyright.
Summary: three card-shaped arts.
Warnings: I know absolutely nothing about tarot. ravenna_c_tan was very helpful, and I did some research on my specific cards, but I ask that you please forgive any interpretive mistakes stemming from my pervasive ignorance.
Cards Drawn: Temperance, Ten of Coins, and Three of Wands.
Artist Notes: I went a bit mad with the costuming. Through this project, I have learned about myself that I am entirely too fond of ribbons and stripes.

Title: Ten of Coins

Main character or Pairing: Black family, pre- sirius’s surprise sorting / first rise of voldemort
Card Interpretation: the pinnacle of prosperity, with an emphasis on family and inheritance.

Title: Three of Wands

Main character or Pairing: Narcissa, Bellatrix, and Andromeda Black
Card Interpretation: as near as I can figure, this card represents the anticipation of a payoff after investing one’s passion in something- be it a cause, an ideal, or future plans. another reference gave ‘planning for the future' (narcissa), 'championing a cause' (bellatrix), or 'exploring the unknown' (andromeda), as possible meanings.

Title: Temperance

Main character or Pairing: Snape
Card Interpretation: from what I understand, this card is about the conflict and merging of opposites, and it’s traditionally represented by a figure pouring liquids. An angsty and conflicted potionmaker/spy seemed perfect.
