Notes: I was going for a looser style here, so hopefully that worked out. Hermione's meant to be pretty young here, second or third year at most. My sister Samantha skimmed through this for me, but any mistakes are my own.
He shakes, he shivers, he moans. Disgusting, foul, horrid thing that he is, his eyes still find her the moment she steps into the room. Barely even a man, he cannot control himself, cannot deny that beast inside.
Creature, beast, animal. Real men do not do this, do not think of mere children in such a way.
She does not act like a child.
Traitorous thoughts, the thing inside of him whispers awful things in his ear, voice seductive and convincing and wrong. He turns his gaze away from her, eyes dragging, and it is more than painful to do so-agony, torture, horror to experience. She is imprinted on the backs of his lids, those wide eyes and the chaos of dark hair. Her little hands touching him, oh, how he wants it.
Just look, it is safe to simply look at her, the other-him murmurs. He can feel those lips curled around his ear, breathe fanning on his face as it tempts him.
He shudders, he trembles, he coughs.
No, no, no.
He must not look at her-he shuts his eyes tightly, fists clenched, and there is another raspy cough building in his throat.
Severus, look at her, look at Miss Granger, look at Hermione, the other-him whispers.
His fingernails dig into his palms, and he can barely feel it, shuddering and horrified as he is.
No, no, no.
He lets out a shaky breathe, opens his eyes.
She is gone, quickly as she came, and the other-him hisses in weary regret.
Miss Granger is safe from him for another day.
Still, he wonders how long he can keep away. Severus Snape is not a man known for his patience.
