Notes: Recalescent (re-ca-les-cense) n. A sudden glowing in a cooling metal caused by liberation of the latent heat of transformation. I had a lot of fun with this prompt!! I decided to show a part of the story where the traveler (Hermione) has now been at the castle for a while now, trying to solve the mystery behind the curse. Draco, having been under the curse for so long, no longer feels the cold. His heart is frozen, his heavy ice crown a burden he's been cursed with...and his skin is starting to match the cloudy sky. He frequently goes outside to brood, foregoing any outer wear as he feels it's not needed. While he watches the ice form on his fingers and glaciers begin to form in his footsteps, he feels a heavy cloak fall on his shoulders. Hermione gently admonishes him, saying even if he can't feel the cold - he should at least try to stay warm. As she attaches the cloak 'round his chest, teasing him while doing so, he feels something inside loosen and warm just a little bit...and a few of those cold ice icicles start to break off…
Summary: A curse has been placed upon Malfoy Castle and its occupants. Can a mere traveler thaw Prince Draco's frozen heart and save the castle from perpetual winter?
