Oh god, you killed me. I love you, but I hate you so much. I'm still sobbing right now. You wonderful, wonderful murderer. This was perfect and horrible and it hurts to read but I love it so much and I don't know if I want to hug you or punch you.

I've NEVER cried reading things before, and I'm sobbing so hard right now that I probably woke up my sleeping family. Seriously. I don't even know what to say. What hurts the most is that they... never went to the ocean. He promised. And they didn't. And that made me think that Bert won't be able to keep his promise to never let anyone forget him. My hands are shaking too much to type more so I'm done.

You could always hug me and then punch me. Or punch me and then hug me. I'm up for combinations =] Hahaha

I was going to end it with either a flashback of them at the ocean, or Bert remembering he didn't keep that promise and going to pour Quinn's ashes in the ocean. But I was advised to leave the ending open to interpretation, and decided to go with that. Plus, it made me think of that movie Up, which made me cry like three times.

So maybe they did go to the ocean, maybe they didn't. Maybe Bert will drive up to California and dump Quinn's ashes in the ocean so Quinn could always be there. However you want it to end.
