Any reason why font overrides are still in FAQ 12 instead of a howto?

You have Bogus LJ URL.

No idea. We still have background image overrides in a FAQ too. I think it's fine there, no reason to move. It applies to all layouts and is not very long unlike the comment links overrides which have been moved to Howto.

And yes, I have a motive for keeping stuff in the FAQs rather than moving to howto unless necessary -- because in howto, it's not available to everyone. FAQs can be translated into any language. Howto's ... there's no interface for it, they slip through unless someone dedicated creates a community and translates the entries. And even then revisions don't show up, so.

I just hate when stuff is moved to pages which cannot be translated. Because I just know that it will fall upon me to answer requests about those issues and translate.

I'm happy so far that Russian translation of FAQ 136 hasn't been updated, and the information on how to correctly file DMCA report is still there (in English it has been moved to a separate page (non-translatable). It means that for now, all I have to do is link ( ... )

Well, in my opinion, there should be a way to change the format of howto and s2howto so they're translatable. Of course, I have no real idea what said format could be and the migration issues would be horrendous...

Also, why not talk to abe and/or janinedog about getting all the legal pages english stripped? They're important for all users, obviously...

Yes, I talked to janinedog, but I think she said they were untranslatable for a reason. Something legal. Like if the content is changed but translation isn't... It _has_ to be correct.
