heh, well, they're really bouncy; some are downright rambunctious while others are mellow. In general, sleddogs are super high-energy and they love nothing more than running - some so much so that they have to be trained to pace themselves so they don't collapse. They all have different personalities just like any other dogs and they are WAY intelligent. The first time I went mushing I really got to see this first-hand; the lead dogs in particular have to be good listeners and good decision-makers. When you come to any fork in the trail, you tell them which way to go: "gee" is right, "haw" is left. We came to a "Y" in the trail and forgot to tell them which way to go, so the leaders chose left, which was wrong. Jan (the owner/musher) yelled "whoa" to stop them and then "GEE" to get them to turn right - and though they were already 20 feet down the trail, the leaders remembered they'd turned, knew to backtrack (no easy feat when you're all tied together!) and get everybody going down the other trail! (Trust me, it's very impressive
