i watched a discovery show on spiders once that had the recluse guy in it- very interesting. i am not really particular about spiders but there are some really big ones in my house that i really don't like- especially in my room! :P

There's another good article floating around the web somewhere that is not sarcastic and is well written that basically says the same thing with similar points. I just like this guy's attitude. ;)
i knew they only lived in the midwest. they like cool dark moist places. i saw an hour long special on the brown recluse spider on the nature channel or something. they're just like other spiders and don't bite unless they're threatened.

And yet, the people who live with these spiders rarely get bitten nor do they run around in constant fear....If they truly lived here [in california] then you should be able to find many specimens for identification."
