I'm fine; just having difficulty with this 'aim for the head' advice of yours. By which I mean-- which head?

Uhm...I hadn't thought of that. Perhaps all of them. Here's hoping none of them are Hydra-esque in nature.

At the same time?

I guess I'll just have to try it and see.

You realise I'll blame you for bringing it up if they are?

Mostly. Being down an officer makes the squads nervous.

That's understandable, I guess. Holler if you need a hand.

A good many of my officers, including Matsumoto and myself, are well-suited to making such distant attacks. Even though I still look like hell We're fine.

Sure thing. Figure you've earned it, you know?

I'll be outta the office briefly, so I'll put the papers on Mikagami's desk.

The Fourth is a madhouse right now, but I'm fine. We've got our hands full, though. While all of our officers have combat training, not all of them are really battle ready. Plus, we're getting incoming wounded all the time.

We'll be all right. We've handled worse.

If you need, I can send one of my squads to concentrate on the area around the Fourth--try and ease off the direct combat required. If these things get into the hospital, who knows what might happen.

I won't turn down any offer of assistance, but please, keep yourself and your people safe. We're not defenseless; Unohana taichou is the foremost zanjutsu expert in the Gotei, and a lot of us are able to use ranged attacks. We've set up fortifications around the hospital.

Never said you were defenseless, just offering a hand where it might be needed. Can't be too careful, I say--that hospital's crucial; if it falls, we're up a whole other creek of shit. Plus it holds some personal sentimental value for me--I've visited it enough, heh. I'll send my Fifth Seat and his men your way.

Watch yourself.

Here. And suggesting that you make sure it's dead before you walk away. We've had too many accounts in the Living World of revisits by old enemies.

Perfect; I love it when the creepy crawlies are persistent. And by love I mean hate with a burning passion.

Some of them don't like to go long-distances. We can out-run a number of them.
