I had a dream this morning that I wanted to record, in spite of the fact that it's 1am and I should really be going to sleep. When I woke up, at around 6am, I wrote a text to James, which I sent at a more sociable hour. Doing this helped me remember the gist of the dream, I think

If I was to analyze the dream, I would say that the dream is about you losing friends. As you move your ties to friends get weaker, this could be the reason the programmer got left behind. I don't know your relationship with him, maybe he is not a close friend or a person you may have want to be friends with but feel you can't, or he could just be a symbol of past friends you had to leave behind. Having the river take you away, could mean you feel like you don't have any say on where you are going
