I got my phone yesterday, at lunch time. I had an hour in which to walk into town (15 minutes each way), change some money, and find the phone I wanted. And I just about managed it! I got the Sony Ericsson K300i I mentioned before, for £55. The girl who sold me it tried (With little success) to make small talk, and then tried (With even less ( Read more... )

You could take a chance on this one:

Serial cable, £9.99 with free delivery in the UK apparently.

I don't know the K300i, but given that Ericsson have used the same connectors since the old A1018 brick, and the voltage has been the same since the t28 (what, 1998?), I would hazard a guess that this cable would do the trick.

Guildford? I used to live there. Please tell me you didn't buy the phone from Phones4U.... bunch of thieves. Flat out lied when asked two simple direct questions, resulting in my using 3 from 750 inclusive minutes and racking up a £180 bill in my first month!

I managed to find a generic cable at a stall in the shopping centre today, actually. At £15, it was hardly cheap, but I imagine it's the best I'll get around here (I have no card with which to buy things online). And it works, too, although whenever I do stuff with my phone, it has a tendency to reset my PC... I don't if it's anything to do with FMA, or my phone, or something.

I got my phone from The Link. I did a bit of research online first, and they had better prices than Phones 4 U. I have bought stuff from P4U in the past, though, just not in Guildford. Speaking of Guildford, did you ever see the Bearded Lady when you lived here? She's terrifying indeed.

Amazingly, I was spared the visual trauma of the Bearded Lady. Until now. So thanks for that. :P

I would, if I had a Credit/Debit card! Sometimes I'm glad I don't, because my finances are bad enough without having to worry about debt.

Still, I guess I can't hide from eBay forever.
