You Can Be Happy Chapter 1 (House/Stacy)

Ok, this is a story that I have posted on the Fox House forum (about two years ago) but decided to post it here. I wanted to write about House and Stacy's past, so based on lines that they said to one another or about one another, I would write a chapter explaining that line. I hope you all will like it. I wrote this my senior year in college

Fit torso, indeed. :-) I love Stacy, and I am also quite envious of her in this scenario.

I really, really like this chapter a lot! It's so sweet and endearing (and masculine) when House calmly deals with the mouse. I'm so glad you posted this, because I love good fics about House and Stacy's past relationship--I can't get enough of that time frame! As far as I'm concerned, THIS IS CANON!

Also, I meant to add in my first comment that I love the title! "You Can Be Happy" makes me think of a fabulous Snow Patrol song called "You Could Be Happy," and I think of it and "hear" it in my head whenever I see your fic title. Interestingly, the song is very fitting for House and Stacy.

"You could be happy and I won't know, But you weren't happy the day I watched you go.... Most of what I remember makes me sure
I should have stopped you from walking out the door...."

It's a very poignant, moody song (as most Snow Patrol songs are), and it's just perfect for this!

I finally have time to respond to your posts! Now, I need to get back to reading your fic.

And yes, I love 'You Could be Happy'. :) My favorite Snow Patrol song is 'Run'. - You've been the only thing that's right in my lifetime.

That line strikes me as very House-like.
