And, as a new cat owner and thus one who is hyper-aware and fascinated by all things cat-like for the moment, I'd like to say that you've created for Usna an excellent aura of feline-ness. The way you describe his movements is very essense-of-cat.

Yes, the meetings between Usna and his mother are canon, mentioned in book 3, I believe. I really like that aspect of his personality. My family had cats, and while they're not my favorite thing, I tried hard to show that he's as much feline as sidhe.
