I'm still mired deep in computer-related icky things here. The new one is working, but last night I seem to have fried the motherboard on the old one: yes, the one with the 1/3 completed vid that prompted me to go out and buy the new PC in the first place

Oh, I'm as bad as it gets with back-ups and stuff - I don't even know half of the names of the programs I use or where they came from (most came from helpful friends or friends of friends, anyway). I suppose I should do something about that...

Well... :) GenieSoft Backup Manager Home Edition is very highly regarded for day-to-day data backups. When I researched the position, a few months ago, Acronis True Image seemed to be the best one for getting a complete disaster-proof backup. I got them both, and I'll be able to let you know later this evening just how effective/not they've been :)

"Back up" is a piggly thing. We have to keep our little backs up on a regular basis so that nasty piggly eating creatures can't come along and chuck us into the frying pan. We have concealed spines, see, a bit like sting rays.

Yeah! All this motherfucking boardfrying backup backlog (it always seems to me there should be a 'ue' at the end of that word) is just TOO, TOO energy consuming! I believe I've already assimilated the rice noodly soup I ate earlier. I may have to go and supplement the piggly diet with a snack of some description.

I get it 'back bacon'....I'm a streaky fan myself....but I CANNOT remember when I last had a bacon sandwich.....and I find that v.v.worrying....I can remember having a full breakfast back in March! Don't worry about the frying pan....I would grill you.....it..... (Will send the manservant out in the morning to purchase some....)

Srsly now, Piggie babe, I only have my fics and, I suppose, my mail addresses that are sacred....I really don't do anything at all technologically profound....do I need back up or can I rely on 'my man' to retrieve any losses.....he says it's always there!!?? I have my fics on a memory stick.....but I did lose it....but then I remembered where it was............
