He used to crawl into her bed when she had nightmares.
"You're kicking me out?" says the Shoushani knight, incredulously.
"Obviously," says Alambil, and waves in the direction of the door, in case he's forgotten where it is, "Go!"
Iulius presses a tear stained face to her hurriedly night-gown-covered breast, and Whatsisname (Marco? Ludo? Larco?) draws himself up to his full (and unimpressive) height, and stalks out, holding his breeches before him.
Alambil looks at her bed. On second thoughts, she is not taking Iulius into it. The sheets are rumpled, and have damp spots, and she's sure her mother wouldn't approve. She'll take him to Eddard's bed instead.
"Iulius," Alambil says firmly, and Victoria eyes him, and blinks, and agrees. And Alambil holds onto Iulius, the newest Prince of Narnia, and swears, in her heart, to love him and care for him, and defend him from all harm, that he may grow strong and tall, into a man they will all be proud of.
She is so messed up, poor sweetheart. And she loved him so much. He slept in her bed, she taught him to ride...
(Eddard is asleep when she comes in, and doesn't even wake up, recognising her step on the carpets. She pours Iulius, floppy and asleep already, into the bed next to him, and then climbs in herself, and goes to sleep.)
I am not sure whether Alambil is sleeping with Eddard. I think she may, occasionally, be sleeping with him, and with Piotr. Valentine is as gay as a gay thing, so she isn't sleeping with him, and Marcellus is too young for her.
OH PEVENSIES. I think Peter and Susan would be vaguely horrified to learn that the incest actually became fairly rampant in the family...or at least they would have been once, anyway.
(The night after her mother's funeral, Alambil crawls into Eddard's bed. He is asleep when she arrives, but does not remain so for long, not when she kisses him, pulling his nightshirt up, and weeping silent tears that drip onto his face.
"Alambil," he breathes into her mouth, "Ala, sweetheart," and he rubs her back, sshing her as she fucks him, and weeps for her mother, and her brother, and the children she knows she will never ever have.)

(She dreams of lions, every night, of Aslan himself looking down at her, and shaking his head in sorrow.
Why did you not save him? he asks, Why did you not keep your oaths?.
Alambil has no answer)

And is it just really, really screwed up that Aslan is the one asking her this? Because, yes, it was her oath, but he's the Lion and all.
