I'd post this on the House boards but I am not sure where to post or what to search for ( Read more... )

Hotep, Zat! I guess the question is...what do *you* want to do now? ^_ ( ... )

Actually, just hearing that makes me feel a little better. Thanks Shefyt.

My akhu are good with me, I'm planning to do Weshem-ib at Pantheacon in February, want to do Sau and Fedw (thankfully Dad isn't pushing for them RIGHT NOW like He did in September right after RPD) and perhaps become W'ab later on. It's like when I started with Heathenry several years ago (and still continue), there's just so much and you want to know it all right now but can't.

There's a senut in store for me soon, hopefully them some of this can be sorted a little more.

hmmm I don't think there's anything else you're missing.
You'll be a kemetic until the very last day of your life (unless you convert to a different faith or something) so my best advise would be... relax and start feeling it... it's been two years since my RPD almost, and it's just now that I'm starting to enjoy it, feel it and understand it for real.

Fhew. I think it's kinda hard to be "new" too, because you are surrounded by people who've been doing and living it longer and you personally want to be at that point at this very moment.

Senebty!

I would say right now, the best thing you can do is just explore. Work on cementing those relationships with Seshat and Wepwawet. Work on building a firm communication with your Akhu. Expand your personal practices - doing Senut and keeping a state shrine are great, but how does Dad want you to know Him outside of shrine? I use dice to divine for Him, and I do many things that I consider service to Him outside of Senut and formal practices.

This is point that everyone reaches after a while: "What do I do now?" The important thing to remember is that RPD and Naming aren't single, discrete events - they're initiations. Come to Duas if you can, too - they definitely help with the learning and the experiencing the community. ^_^

I'll be at the Saq tomorrow, provided I am not too tired. Somehow I always forget the Dua chats though. :/

Thank you for the extra insight/ideas. Amazingly He's not brought it up yet, and I would imagine it's so I would not be completely overwhelmed.
