Wow, she's got really cute hair! It looks retro. I like the first few photos too-they have a nice vintage feel to them.

Oh, now you've really touched a nerve--Kisara is the reason I really got into collecting Jenny's friends in the first place. It's that side glance I think. Such nice face paint on that one.

Yukko-chan reminds me of That Girl!

Thanks for your comment and sorry for my late reply! ^^; Eeee, yes, I remember your great Kisara collection on your site (it was like the first site I went to when I started digging info on Jenny Friends and ESPECIALLY Kisara). The side glance is a huuuge plus for me, too. She's like "Hmmm?" and you're wondering what she's thinking about. Love the gentle smile, it's as if sometimes it isn't really there but on some Kisaras it is... Hard to explain. It's different with each Kisara, maybe?

From my first glance at at her picture (I believe it was an insert in one of my Jenny boxes) I was smitten, and I remember obsessively bugging poor David Hammon to find me Kisara. He managed to derail me with a Bob*Girl Lie for a time, but it just wasn't the same.

I used to have a bicycle riding doll when I was a kid! ^__^ Bought back good memories. She wasn't as cute as Yukko-Chan though! What a great doll. I can always remember playing with mine when my Mum used to take us to the launderette!

I love your Kisara -She is soooo sassy looking! Sigh... u really are making me want a short-haired Licca... bad House of Duke XD Lol!

Thanks for your comment and sorry for my late reply! Yikes, I'm so behind with comments and my friendslist right now. *bangs head on desk* Thank you for always commenting and giving feedback on photos, it means a lot to me. ^o^

That's a sweet childhood story! I didn't have any dolls this pretty, only the playline Barbies (in the early and mid 80s) and maybe a couple of knockoffs (and a couple of those huge newborn babies, yiiiikes O_O) but they are still part of me growing up and I'd love to find out which Barbies they were *exactly*, like which line they're from and so on. I remember the Barbie furniture I had and whenever it pops up on eBay, it makes me smile. Even if, yes, it IS dreadfully pink LOL.

Hehehehe! I'm converting you! One day you'll succumb to the allure that is Licca-chan. Actually, my next post will have a short-haired Licca I love to death and she's affordable, too. Maybe I'll convert you with that one, muahahahaha... ^_~ Excccelleeent... *Mr Burns impression*

Yukko-chan is such a cutie! She has a really sweet face, she makes me smile ^^
I love her hair style, she does have very full hair ;)

And Kisara is probably my favorite Jenny's friend too. One reason may be that she's the only Takara doll that I ever held in my hand but I fell in love with her immediately. I love Kisara dolls with short hair and I like this mold.

Sorry for my late reply, I'm catching another cold and it's making me fall behind with my comments and friendslist again. Gah.

Yukko-chan is very sweet-looking, she reminds me so much of one of my replica Liccas of the 1st generation. I'll post a picture of the two together, the resemblance is awesome! :) Yukko-chan is like Licca's mommy!

The falling in love at first sight was true in my case, too. At least when I took enough notice of the Jenny Friends, that is. At first I didn't really pay much attention to them or to Jenny (I like very few Jennies), maybe because there were so many of them and it was more than a bit daunting to get to know them all. Just.too.many.dolls! o.o One day I decided to give them a chance and I looked closely at their faces and it was like BAM, Kisara it is! A favourite right away.

Yes, that's the side of Kisara that is very appealing to me. She doesn't have that obvious "Look at me, I'm a HAPPY HAPPY DOLL and am your BEST FRIEND!" look that a lot of dolls have. Kisara looks thoughtful at times and sometimes like she's not "approachable"... She's in her own little world and doesn't want to talk to you right now. :) But other times she has that gentle smile that looks like she's just here to have fun, HER way of fun. I think the above Kisara is more like this last version, the one that *does* have sweetness, it's just mysterious. Her look is also a bit "calculating".
