Of course after his talk with Hadyn, at some point Davin was going to seek Jordan out before he comes over to the Spades. He just didn't expect to find Jordan down in the basement.

"This a bad time?"

At this point he'd expected that he might escape any heart-to-hearts about this - other than with Michael - until after he got the job done. But apparently not, he thought, and shrugged his shoulder.

"No," he said. "I'm just testing a theory."

Sorry, Jordan. Your uncle has a sixth sense about these things.

And then he sees the Cup.

A sixth sense about when members of his family would really prefer not to talk about things, apparently, especially since he doesn't really think Davin entirely approves. Not that he disapproves, but he hasn't gotten the feeling that his uncle is quite the join the Spades cheerleader that Clive is.

"Mmhmm. Apparently, the idea is that if we put them all back, everything will go back to normal." He's not really buying it. He's not sure anyone's really buying it. But it's not like he has better ideas.

Jordan, Jordan, Jordan...what is this she's heard about leaving the Hearts? Curiously, Leona eventually wandered over to see him moving his last boxes out of Heart castle.

"Rude to abandon ship, you know." She said, tipping her head slightly as she laced her fingers behind her back. "What will the children think?"

He's leaving, Leona. Leaving on...well, he'll probably just drive the Mustang over, really.

""What will the children think?" He asked as he looked to see if there was actually any room in his car for another box. "Well, obviously they'll think that if a Suit doesn't bring them joy and satisfaction, they should go to where they'll be fulfilled." He gave her a bit of a smile, though. "Come over to lecture me, Princess Leia?"

Well isn't that just a crying shame? Poor over worked horse car.

"But abandoned, without a word. They'll shed tears into their pillows, I'm certain." She smirked a little, before laughing at the idea of her giving a lecture. "Why yes, Mr. Novak, I have come to tell you that this is the most...unacceptable of behaviors. For shame, you, for shame."

He hasn't broken it to Prospero the horse that he's going to have to move. He's going to be crushed. He had a monopoly on all the pretty Heart mares.

"Oh, I've said lots of words. And there haven't been that many tears." Nothing less than what he'd expected, really. He managed to wedge the box in and turned to her with a salute.

"I'm ready for my rebuke, Sergeant Matthews."
