So. Reassignment happened -- perfectly shiny (not). Part-time hours with the guards have happened -- far shinier. But she's not filing for the guards right now, or doing a damn thing at all for Victor. Instead, she's delivering the last file of the day so that she can get the hell out of
these shoes and wiggle her toes in carpet, or something

As head of inter-suit relations she should probably come up with a better way of wording it.
She gives Amy a smile as she takes the file, flips it open. And then. And then. The dreaded words.
"Hold on a second."

And then Avery makes words, and she feels her face fall. Turns back. "What's wrong with it?" Because. Clearly, there's something wrong with it, or Amy wouldn't still be here.

That does not, however, mean she ends day early. No, she continues to work, which is why she is striding through castle with purpose, stack of files in hand. One corner of her mouth lifts when she spies the There.
"Ah, Amy. I am glad to be finding you. Here are more deliveries to be made before end of day."

But she keeps her mouth shut on that, offers a smile that's almost more of a combination of a wince and baring her teeth, and takes them anyway.
"Are they at least all in Spade Castle?" Seriously. These shoes and running all over the Gods' creation and back so don't mesh well. Cut her some slack, Lady.

"Five inside, one to stables and one to Clubs." She considers the last. "It may wait until tomorrow." Such an innocent smile. "Many errands tomorrow. You perhaps should consider day's duties when you dress." She had warned Amy there would be great deal of walking.

But there are only seven files left, and somehow, that smile just tells her that things will be terrible if she leaves any of them for tomorrow. With a defeated expression, she nods. "I'll take care of it. Is there anything else, or just these?" Please, dear god, let this be it.

Or, in this case, glancing over her shoulder as she shuffles through the castle.]
Fuck this skirt, man. And these shoes.
[Mostly it's to herself, though an answer would also be fabulous.]

[She strolls right up behind Amy and wraps her arms around her, kissing her neck lightly.]

That's a very, very good thing, considering that I'm actually kind of attracted to people, too. Especially ladies who sneak up behind me.
[Bullshit, she normally would have elbowed someone in the face for sneaking up on her, but Tally declared herself before touching, so it's okay.]
Am I less of a woman if I take these shoes off before I make it upstairs?

So while there was a stack untouched paperwork, mostly just needing to be sorted, everything else somehow managed to look a bit like organized chaos. Posters, and a white board with various things scrawled across it were the most eye catching to say the least. Still, the new Jack looked pleasantly surprised to see Amy walk into his office all the same.
"Was there something you needed?"
Reply
"Need you to sign pretty much every piece of paper in there and give me three forms of DNA identification along with your fingerprints." That last bit was a little bit sarcastic, possibly too rude for her Jack, but frankly, it'd been a long day and Amy just wanted to go to bed. She was hoping for a little bit of mercy if her tongue was too sharp for others to handle tonight.

"Sit, make yourself at home." He would just thumb through these and see if they did actually require anything from him. "How have you been?"

"It's been a hell of a day, m'lord Jack. In case you're not sure, heels are inadvisable if you gotta do a lotta walkin'." Should've been obvious, but she'd attempted to dress somewhat respectably. Damn it, if Katya could be just fine in heels all day- if Zoë could be just fine in heels all day, why couldn't she?
But nope. Tomorrow, she'd be back in boots that were well-broken and didn't make her want to die. This skirt-and-blouse-and-heels getup wasn't Amy's thing anyway. Pants and shirts and boots, that was her style. It looked better, it felt better, and it was far more functional.

Because, if you think you're getting anywhere near the Queen in her current state, Amy Sinclair, you have another thing coming.

Still, she has to shake her head. "Huh-uh. Queen's eyes only, Teegs. Sorry to disappoint, but I've got Orders from Katya."

"However, if it is urgent the King is still in his office, I believe." She sets aside her pen, reaching for the phone on the corner of her desk. "I can call down and check, if you like?"

Too rude for a Jack. Amy gives no fucks. She's already irritated that she can't hand-deliver the file to Argine.
