Wandering in Heart Castle (log, ota - poke Jordan?)

Jul 27, 2012 13:24

Delilah hadn't snuck around much in Heart Castle since Jordan's challenge - at least not "legitimately". She'd come to bring notes from David for Judith, she'd come to see the baby, she'd come to see Justin, and she'd come to enjoy the gardens, but so far hadn't been anywhere she couldn't explain to his satisfaction if he had decided to question ( Read more... )

The Hearts' Guards were not as oblivious as people seemed to think they were. Nor was it likely that Delilah really knew the Castle or the secret passages as well as the Heart's that lived and worked there. Particularly the passages. And if she did, one might wander why she cared or even bothered- The Hearts did not make it a habit to keep secrets, but they also did not see why a Spade should be crawling through windows or over their roof.

It was irresponsible. Particularly when her king was working so hard to make peace with the other suits.

"I assume you understand the concept of a door," Ceiro said as she came through a window and into the room. "The slopped roof of the Castle isn't the safest of playgrounds for children. And surely you are outside, upon my roof to play- because one such as yourself would not risk the peace and trust between suits that her King is attempting to build ( ... )

Her response was a smile, not too cheeky or bright, but warm enough.

"Enjoying the sun and the view is all. Have you ever seen your fabulous gardens from above?" That was partially true, at least - she had spent a bit of time admiring the gardens.

"Yes, yes- You can expect I will be speaking to your Royals about this. Now, out. These rooms are off limits, and the roof is particularly off limits to even to those that are 'only looking at gardens'." She didn't really think he would completely believe that, he hoped. No one just ran around the roof. It was ridiculous.

"I trust you can show yourself out of the Castle? Or should I escort you?"

He'd just given the guard who reported Delilah's location a long look before sighing and then waving the man out again. "Idiot," he muttered, before changing into more appropriate shoes - he didn't particularly care if Delilah fell to her undoubtedly tragic death, but he had no plans to do so - before making his way out on the roof himself.

"Do be careful," he said as he stood over David's star spy - the Three he'd just started training did better work than this, seriously. "I'd hate to make our Twos clean up your mess if you fell."

"And I'm sure no one would ever want to do that." She was fortunate, really, that Athena was still off-Deck. Their Jack's reaction to this stunt would have been a sight to behold. "Certainly not because you're tresspassing in areas even Hearts are not permitted to be in."

If she thought she was the only one he kept an eye on, she didn't have anything even close to any understanding of him. She was just the most obvious; there were others, of course. David had to have near a hundred spies. And then there was Elisha, whose personal network numbered near fifty by now. Jordan himself was just beginning, but what his were very good at already was noticing the other people who were watching - and the question only was who they were watching for"You're quickly wearing out your welcome in Heart Castle," he said after a moment. "And I would suggest you get off the roof and reacquaint yourself with more traditional methods of entry if you want to continue to retain visiting privileges, because 'visiting your boyfriend' will cease to be a ( ... )

The Ace of Hearts has recently had terrible news dropped on her-- more than one bit of it, actually. She's had an awful lot to think about. And having a Spade spy slickly dipping through her castle was doing nothing to make any of her thoughts any calmer. Because it's the sort of thing that fosters suspicion. So she'll make sure to catch Delilah on one of her jaunts into inside of the castle, resting back against a desk and clearing her throat. Her smile is not unpleasant, but her eyes are a bit sharp.

"Sit and have a drink with me," Wren says. She sounds friendly(ish), but also very insistent. "What's your name again, honey?"

Have a paper ball thrown at you Delilah with a very unamused Seven of Hearts and four day old Head of Domestics studying at you. "Is there a reason you decided to come through the window and not the door? See, I'm totally new at this job and I made the basic assumption that people knock when coming into an office."

And the said office was still in the middle of a change from flowery Romanticism to a Geeky Artist's tastes.

Having seen the woman from a distance, and being unwilling to believe that someone would actually climb up there, Blythe is now staring at her from a platform under the turret where Delilah is balanced. Mostly? She's really confused. "What... are you doing? You're going to kill yourself." That's first. Blythe knows about climbing, and she really knows about falling, and that height is just not healthy, especially considering that precarious surface the Spade is balancing on.
