He was back? She'd heard he left, but she hadn't believed it until she'd come over and his office door was locked. The moment she knew he was back, she had literally left everything where it was in the random place she had been dancing and took off at a run to get to him.

Once she was there, she skidded to a stop in front of his office door and gave it a light knock before she was in the room.

"You're back!" She barely restrained herself just in front of his desk from going around to hug him. Just barely. But the bubbly happiness that came from her was instantaneous. "So..uhh..I drank like..ten Red Bulls. And you totally missed it. And..and.." Oh yeah, she was happy.

Her entire face was lit up like the forth of July. He had broached a topic that was entirely comfortable for her, taking a step back from the darkness of both of their pasts.

"Let's go!" She took his hand then, she didn't even stop to think about it for a second.

David laughed, being tugged to his feet by the hand she held. "Very well, we'll go now. Calm yourself, my dear."

Those green eyes sparkled as she held onto his hand, her eyes on his face. "Sorry. Dancing makes me so..happy."

"So I see." And he was pleased with it. Anything that made her happy was good, it seemed. His children, so very often, were not happy around him.

She flashed a smile at him. Well, he never had to worry about that with her. She was always happy. At least, she was when she was around him.

And that was a blessing, if ever there were one.

She smiled a bit more, her head tilted off to one side.

"So..um.." She scuffed her shoe a bit as she let go of his hand. "..sorry."

"For what, my dear?" There didn't seem to be terribly much to apologize for, and even though his hand had been dropped, he continued to guide her into the dance studio.

"Holding your hand so long?" She smiled a little bit. "I..didn't mean to."

[spysinspades]

"All is well, calm yourself." After all, they're here and she would want to dance.

Her eyes lit up as soon as she moved into the room with him. She turned to look for a moment and bit down on her lip.

"So..where do we begin?"

[spysinspades]

"With what you know." That seemed the safest. And Ballet dancers learned a version of the waltz step, if he remembered correctly.

"Umm.." She looked a little confused but nodded. "All right.."

[spysinspades]

"We'll start with a waltz, it's fairly simple... Why don't you show me the step you've already learned for it?"
