This is Julien, with a folded up (cloth, sorry, Chives!) napkin wrapped haphazardly over his hand.
Why?
Because there was a minor altercation between his palm and a blade he was sharpening.
Also because there are only
bandages that look like this left in the medical supply cupboard.

Actually it's more like living with Victor necessitates keeping an extra infirmary in the bedroom.

"So you do. Are you offering or merely taunting me with them?"
Even as he's reaching with his other hand for the presumably proffered bandage.

Starting things again with Victor just didn't sound like Julien's idea of a good time. Well...not right now at least, with so many other things going on in the Deck.

Momentary distraction and sharp objects did not tend to mix well.

"Must have been something quick and sharp to warrant a bandage like that." So much for the Ace's lightning reflexes.

"It is not like you to slip." The regular bandaids must have been packed up in preparation for the infirmary's move. She'll send someone to dig them out.

The Two returns, clutching a medical kit. Katya raises an eyebrow at the unfortunate. Was it necessary to parade through castle carrying this?

Of course he's mentally kicked himself over the stupidity already, but there's no sense in saying that. Or letting on how much it bothers him that he slipped in the first place.

"Milord Ace. Mind if I look at that?" It's a polite question. But really. Let her look at that, please.

He's perfectly capable of performing first aid on himself, you know.

"And it's only until the bleeding stops." Truly, it was a scratch hardly worth bothering about.

"There is gauze, Milord. If you'd prefer."

"And where might that be, Doctor?"

"And how is the move going?"
