Doing an all nighter isn't uncommon and Meghana hides it well. Wear the right clothes, do the hair right, add the right touches of make up and it looks like you had eight hours of sleep. Of course, she hadn't. She might sneak a nap after the presentation before going back to cracking the second laptop.
She presents a power point presentation, an elmo projector (one of the few on Deck) hooked up to it and a sheet (oh god a sheet) is the screen. Her audience are Interested Party members.
"Ms. Wells came to me prior to me about a week ago with the laptop before you. This apparently belongs to Mr. Wells, the man she married." And she begins by showing the following screen, "Mr. Wells could teach us all a thing or two about keeping our files categorized."
She clicks on photos. She did find quite a few of Andrea and James in it, but for Andrea's sake they're in another sub-folder. It's personal. Deep within Meghana's laptop there's a picture of Meghana grinning ear to ear with her father, another picture of Meghana grinning at Holi just a few weeks prior, covered with paint powder. Pictures are painful, horrible, horrible things when you're still human at the core of it all.
The first she brings up is the only one with Andrea that will be presented, her with James and Charlie. "There were quite a few photos of this gentlemen," She taps the ghostly visage of Charlie with a point light, "And I suspect he was a friend of the family?" A quick glance to Tegan and Andrea. "Andrea was in most of the photos with this family friend. However, this one..." A picture of Father Forthill with James, "Has only been seen with Mr. Wells in the photos I discovered. Do you recognize him, Ms. Cruz?"
"He's also a man of classical literature," She clicks to the 'words' folder, a quick look at James Donne's Holy Sonnet VI, Holy Sonnet X, and Lover's Infiniteness.
"I also noticed something else. It's hard not to notice because there was a folder dedicated to this young lady that Mr. Wells looks an awful bit of like. We're calling her Addie for the sake of it all. He traveled a bit with her. In 1995? New York. In 1997? In March they visited New York and Australia before hopping to England in April then back to New York for Halloween. However not for long, by February of 1998, they were in New Zealand. Judging by her appearance, I doubted she was a former flame. I think she is a sister. "
She points to the recycle bin with her point light, "Then I found a deleted document called 'to my sister', it was blank when I first opened it but..." She hands out two printed sheet with the following on it to Sieben and Tegan. "This Addie is apparently 'Mattie' aka Mr. Wells' sister. I like matching names, it makes you realize they could have possibly been twins and that Addie might still be alive. The letter was written and last changed in November, 2006. It also mentioned a gentlemen named John."
She doesn't give a document to Andrea, and Andrea and everyone else can assume she finds Andrea unworthy for the this information. No, she doesn't want Andrea to read that she began as a target. One that he obviously had fallen in love with if the pictures she hadn't shown been could be judged. But right now she was furious with the late 'Mattie'. More furious with him than Andrea. In her odd way, Meghana is attempting to protect another lady from yet another dangerous man.
"I'm afraid this laptop was completely personal. A wise thing considering his line of work. The second laptop will be worked upon as soon as this meeting is over." After a nap. "This took nearly a week to open and it was simply personal. The second might take even longer.
I'd suggest questions should be shot to Andrea. And Tegan, I have gifts I need to give you... additional information was given to me after the Lord Jack spoke to me about this situation the other day." She'll speak to the Lord Jack about this later.
