In the Live Chat that Barbara Barnett hosted following "Better Half," there were many that expressed interest in a House convention. Does anyone know how fans might go about setting one up?
There was chatter for two conventions, one in LA and one in NJ, a couple of years ago, but they went nowhere. There were dates and locations were set but other complications killed the events. Fox would not support either one apparently, even though other series PTB contribitors were interested. I also think that most of the cast would not participate and the ones that would, would not be a big draw to the events.
I recall hearing about those. I wonder what would happen if someone decided to host one now. There was actually a comm for one awhile back, perhaps it was for the LA convention? (I remember talk of an NJ convention in a different community.)
I know there has been interest in doing the conventions on both coasts, but I think it may be too late in the game to have an "official" convention. Fox will not support any activites and I am willing to be the actors would be hard pressed to participate. It may be easier to have an informal gathering with fans. I was following the convention progress in the various forums and communities. I say good luck if you are interested in starting up again.
