Differential Diagnosis People: In The Big House

As you read this week's nominee for the Hall of Fame, you can ask yourself: how might House's night in jail on the show a few weeks ago have gone if he'd had a little company, and the writers had been under Mer's influence?

Author: Mer-duff

Rating: G

Synopsis: A good friend will bail you out of jail; a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn that was fun!" Or maybe not.

Nominated by: Topaz Eyes

Why should this be in the Hall of Fame? Mer has a keen grasp on House, Wilson and Cuddy in this story, telling it with humor and insight. We see how Cuddy views House and Wilson's odd friendship, as well as seeing how she views her own relationship with them.

Sample from the text:

"He went to school in Canada," House whispered conspiratorially. "I
think they brainwashed him." He very pointedly didn't shake the
sergeant's hand.

"Thank you for your help," Cuddy said, taking the receipt and copies of
paperwork Wylie handed her. "Believe it or not, these two actually are
useful members of society." She frowned and looked House. "Well at least
Dr. Wilson is."

"He just got in with a bad crowd," House agreed. "His mother and I are
hoping that a new school will make a difference."
