Yesterday the first batch of "ingredients" for my next creative project arrived here and I'm quite happy with them overall! Any idea what this project might be?
Thanks! While the dialogue is mine (obviously), the weird thing is that those two were totally in character while I took the pics. At one point Sherlock accidentally fell on John and I could practically hear John thinking "Accidental, my ass!" Also, John's hand really found its way on Sherlock's bum on its own while I was busy arranging their hands on the front of their bodies. That was a hilarious discovery! :)
Lol, I just couldn't resist... and neither could they apparently! ;)
Welcome! Presumably the big crafty steps (read: the hard work on the chair itself) won't happen before the Christmas holidays, because I'm really busy until then, but I'll do my best to post about any major steps on this project!
This is fantastic! They really are great figures. They look so natural in the 'imagined' clinch. And Sherlock looks very focused on that bead. It's also interesting how even though their facial expressions can't really change they take on different aspects in the different pictures. Looks like you had a lot of fun with these!
Thank you! They are really, really fantastic! I struggled a long time with myself before ordering them (it is a lot of money!), but ultimately I knew I'd probably regret it forever if I didn't get them. It definitely was the right decision! These figures and their accessories are absolutely brilliant in all their attention to tiny details. I had a good laugh about the tea stains in John's tiny RAMC cup! That's what I love about British humour.
Yes, it's really surprising how well their facial expressions work in every imagined situation! When I first saw BIG Chief Studio's final head sculpts John's facial expression felt way too grim to me, but i's amazing how well it actually works in the final painted faces. It looks a lot softer and more amused/indulgent in reality.
You are amazing, that was hysterical. I wish I could be so creative with my hands but I have the motor control of a three toed sloth, I can grip and nap but that's about it.
Thanks, glad to hear you enjoyed my silly little photo story! Well, I hear you on the lack of fine motor skills, because I share that issue in everything RL. Surprisingly I can control my chubby fingers for creative projects, though! ;)
Lol, imagine having sole power over these two figures! They're probably scared of being taken out of their boxes by now! *waggles eyebrows suggestively*
Nah, I'm greatly exaggerating; I haven't even properly undressed them completely yet. Don't look at me like that. I swear!

It's OK, John, we were ALL hoping thinking that Sherlock might do that. ;)
I'm off to join the comm so I don't miss any more updates! :)
