I am back from Japan. I won this adorable little llama in a toy crane, I thought you'd like to see it. I have no clue what that other thing is in the photo, it must have come back with me somehow too . . . :X

Apparently llamas are one of the big new goods subjects in Japan. I guess capybara had their run.

Cuute! @__@ May I ask what mold he is? The tag says Kanata but I never heard that before, but then again I'm horrible at recognizing Volks molds.

Pardon me for jumping into the discussion, but Kanata is a new Volks SD Standard boy, he is ADORABLE, he was released in the US today and he ALMOST came home with me. :/

I don't know how fast it happened, but I saw that a few hours after the new stuff was posted, Kanata was sold out on Volks USA! He apparently sold really well in Japan too, I was in a number of Sumika and only the ones most off the beaten path had any (one or two). I actually bought the display model from Sato :X

But the good news is he's a STANDARD! So once they've replenished their stock, he'll be there whenever someone wants him. ^_~

I don't know how fast it happened,

I was actually in the store as the first USA in-person purchase occurred, and we gave her a round of applause. That was probably within 15 minutes of the doors opening.

I had decided the night before to bring Kanata home, but my gorgeous new Sweet Dreams School Head A talked me out of it (because, I now realize, he was greedy and wanted more for HIMSELF) so I changed my mind. By noon I had non-buyers remorse big-time.

But the good news is he's a STANDARD! So once they've replenished their stock, he'll be there whenever someone wants him.

I've already warned strawberrygoth that I'll be stalking the Volks website for a restock.
