In the Tea Party Room

Ingress sits at the table in the tea party room, gluing on some last minute bits and pieces to the many popsicle stick frames she's making for the friends she hopes will come visit. They are glittery, of course, but they also hold sticky treasures - old stamps, multi-colored bottle caps, shiny bits of smooth glass, antique beads, and rhinestones

There's a knock on the doorframe, and a head peeking around it.

"Anyone in?"

[nita_callahan]

"Oh!" She accepts the frame, examining and beaming. "This is awesome, Ingress. When'd you make this?"

[smallestopener]

"I've been making them for a few days. They're fun, and every one is different, so no one gets any that are the same."

[nita_callahan]

"I love it. Thank you. And . . ."

She grabs her backpack and rummages in it for a second. "I didn't give you yours yet. I didn't have time to wrap it, though."

[smallestopener]

"That's okay. I didn't wrap yours either. The glue wasn't dry soon enough."

She peers in the direction of the backpack. Presents are fun!

"Okay -- close your eyes and hold out your hands."

[smallestopener]

She does so with a huge grin on her face.

Nita places something large-ish and book-ish in her outstretched hands, grinning herself.

"Merry Christmas."

[smallestopener]

"Oh wow," she says, examining the cover, with the dragon coiled around his treasure. "This looks great. Thanks, Nita."

She gives Nita a hug. "I'll take it with me when I go to Ambergelder. I'm going to go there right after Christmas."
