Tom eyes the hunt for the file, and very wisely refrains from mentioning anything having to do with suggestions for better organization. He hesitates a moment before getting up; he'd conjure up something, but he's too tired to muster the necessary concentration to do so.
He kisses her on the forehead and heads for the kitchen. On his return, he has bears a silver tray of sandwiches, cheese, bread, olives, and a teapot of Door's favorite blend. A bottle of bourbon and one of scotch complete the tableau. He sets it down carefully on the desk and takes a sandwich. Between bites, he pours her a cup of tea. "Bourbon in or on its own?"
He pours her glass of bourbon. It's a rather larger glass than usual, as is his own.
"I know. After all we went through in the first place. You know this is going to have repercussions with the Goodge Street Guild, and those are my least favorite prats to have to settle down."
He kicks off his shoes and reaches for the cheese and bread.
