'House' Fan Columnist: Lisa Edelstein Talks Career, Huddy, and Season Seven Monday evening, in lieu of mourning the end of season six's House, I was privileged enough to be able to attend a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) event starring our favorite dean of medicine, Lisa Edelstein. The venue was small and intimate, and besides getting hit on by an ( Read more... )

→ I love how she only learned about the scene two hours in advance and they filmed it in the middle of the goddamn night. Imagine how thrilled she must've been. ♥
→ "Lisa only worried that he loved her work so much that he might think she was brilliant even if she wasn't." Never mind, wrong community.
→ "She can't wait to see where the love affair goes..." jdkfghaldfj akfdghkfl ~*LOVE AFFAIR*~

MTE. it's too late and I was just reading but when I read this I felt so identificated lol.

Love the note, thank you :)

just for the record, i think lisa and hugh knew about the scene when they first got their scripts. but the crew didn't. so she was saying goodnight to the people who were leaving and only the skeleton crew stayed behind on last minute notice to shoot the scene. so she knew it was coming and had more time to prepare.

i love the part where she said something like, the producers told her 'you're gonna do it! but it's just a fantasy. no, now you're really gonna do it!"

yeah, and she cursed quite a bit. i think more as it got later in the evening and she either got more relaxed or just more tired :). all in all, just about the best and most candid interview i've had the pleasure of sitting in on. now, if only hugh would do something similar...

Thanks for clarifying that. I was trying to figure out when she got the script for the final scene. It was an emotional scene so I would think you would want to ponder how you want to approach the scene and not just get the script and start acting 5 minutes later. Well, this makes it all the sweeter, doesn't it? Her and Hugh and a select few holding a treasure that noone else knew about. Makes for a nice bonding moment.

Thanks for posting that info about the event. I would love to see her talk in person. I live in Vegas so when they have that big Best Friends conference and she comes to it, maybe I can see her. I wonder if they'll put both endings on the DVD set?

I am obsessed with this article, thank you for sharing. I love everything about Lisa, and the little details she reveals - amazing! I can't believe she auditioned for Lynette on Housewives. I'm glad she didn't get the part, because we'd have a less kickass Cuddy and no Felicity Huffman as Lynette, but... still fascinating.
