'House' Fan Columnist: Lisa Edelstein Talks Career, Huddy, and Season Seven Monday evening, in lieu of mourning the end of season six's House, I was privileged enough to be able to attend a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) event starring our favorite dean of medicine, Lisa Edelstein. The venue was small and intimate, and besides getting hit on by an ( Read more... )

Thank you for directing us to this article. What a lovely writeup to a lovely person...

Do you know what I think has jumped the shark? The use/term of jumped the shark. I mean, seriously.

No kidding. I get SO tired of hearing/reading that phrase every time a show does something unprecedented or daring.

The interesting thing is that with the relationship, they can go back to how they were in earlier seasons, you know? Banter, joking, pranks, etc, with some tender moments in there. (And we'd better get at least one hot sex scene!) Anti's were complaining about all the angst and love sickness... well, that will be all gone for at least a little while. ;)

Exactly. Is it really jumping the shark or something that as a viewer, you don't like the direction it's going. I've been a fan of this show since season 1 and viewers have been claiming that the show jumped the shark since season 2.

season 2-Stacy. Jumped the shark.
season 3-Tritter. Jumped the shark.
season 4-Changing of the fellows. Jumped the shark.
season 5-Kutner suicide. Jumped the shark.

The ONLY way that this show will ever jump the shark to me is when HL decides to leave and the producers replace him with another pain ridden doctor. His name would be Hoose and his limp would be on the left leg.

LOL yeah, after I wrote my comment I was also thinking about all the arcs on the show (some of which I didn't think were that great, really) that triggered the shark-jump accusation.

I vote for the new doctor's name to be Condo, and he's a surgeon with only 6 fingers. ;)

I hope they have a feature on the S6 dvd of Hugh's directorial debut on House, because from the little snippets from random interviews and footage, I have only seen him interacting with Olivia, and I want to see him with Lisa & RSL! Aww, I hope it gets on the dvd.

And btw how in the hell have they jumped the shark? This has been waiting to happen over many seasons and I honestly don't think they could have dragged it out any longer, it had to be make or break, and I am so happy that TPTB decided to MAKE it happen, CANON!

I just love Lisa E. and this. "Lisa only worried that he loved her work so much that he might think she was brilliant even if she wasn't."

OH! And the filming of the "I love you." & the kiss at 4am! Must have been the best day ever having Huddy on the mind all day!

I also have to say that I don't give a crap about the other versions of the script because they chose the right one! :)

There will be a feature of Hugh's directorial debut.

LE will do a commentary for her episode, and RSL for his episode.

Also there will be an exclusive short on "Broken"

But on the bright side, you get to listen to LE's commentary. Just imagine how funny that is going to be and the anecdotes she will tell. We should get her insight into House and Cuddy's interaction during that episode.

Plus "Featuring Hugh Laurie and shot on location with no script and no plan, experience House's emotional journey at Mayfield Psychiatric Hospital from an all-new up close and intimate perspective as originally envisioned by director/executive producer Katie Jacobs in a never-before-seen original short."

Also, with the feature on HL's directing, we should get some clips of his interaction with LE. Maybe of them cracking each other up.

That is a great article!

By the time she mentioned they started filming THE last scene, perhaps that time on House's watch was indeed the real time.
