I love the subscription feature as well - it's how I was able to keep track of a recent WIP ("This, You Protect" by Owlet) when everybody I recced it to was saying WIP OH NO OH NO. There was a nice new chapter, every week (and every few days, towards the end) magically delivered exactly when I needed it.

Kudos are great! Sometimes I'm not sure how to respond to comments but a kudos is like a quick shot of love. *grin*

I have a bad tendency to start WiPs and never remember to go back to them. Subscriptions fix that for me!

Sometimes I never know what to say in a comment so hitting the 'kudos' button is easy!
