Agreed! Somewhere along the way it became cool to not be happy, to not be proud of your country.
Lou Tice has a quote about wallowing in your success, like a pig in mud. I think we can celebrate this for at least a day or two.

I think this should be posted in your city's paper as an editorial review or somehting. It is the pure truth, and I think people out there should read it.

You know, the happenings of these past few days make me very pleased about something that happened to my husband and I just outsie of a resturaunt... there were a handful of folks from the armie (no, not navy seals, but I think it still counts, all our forces have been giving their all) and I said to Pat, "Lookity! A batch of heroes!" Where if they wanted, they could hear. *Then* we realised that we knew two of them. :) A nice chat ensued.

I am most proud and fond of our armed forces. Yeah, so what we still have enemies. We still have our miltary working for us. All of them deserve our appreciation and our thanks. What you said.
