Glad I could help broaden your story-reading a little! Fanfiction's great for that. I know there are lots of stories that I purposely go looking for now that I never would have even thought of reading before I got into fanfic.

Cat!fic is certainly one of my favorite fanfiction cliches - you can find it in almost any fandom!

Oh poor Neal. On the other hand, cats are all about embracing one's id . . . he might find it isn't nearly as bad as he thinks it will be! I am often jealous that my cat gets to loaf about all day while I'm at work.

Thank you! I actually have read "Paws!" by china_shop (she is one of my favorite authors), but I felt my fic was/is going to be different enough that no one would mind.

After all, cat!fic is kind of a fanfiction cliche staple. You can find some form of it in practically any fandom, and really, there are only so many ways it can be written. Still, I plan on making this as different as I can. (I plan on delving a little deeper into Norse mythology, and while kissing plays a part, it certainly isn't the permanent solution in this story.)

Anyway, thanks for the encouragement! I'm glad you don't think I'm stepping on too many toes by writing this!
