I'm a bit late to the party, but I just got a chance to read this. And for me this was so very in IC for Neal, and I could see Neal really pulling off all of his cons to get Peter attention.

Actually, Neal's feelings about Elizabeth in the beginning was very similar to mine when I started watching the show. As a slasher I tend to anticipating hating the female love interest straight away, and doing everything in fanfic to get the love interest out of the picture to pair my slash ship together.

However, I couldn't do that with Elizabeth. Elizabeth and Peter were just too damn adorable together. Perfect one another from the get go, and I just absolutely love Elizabeth. She is such a great character, and one of my favorites on the show.

I can totally see Neal being surprised by Elizabeth's awesomeness as I was. lol.

Anyway, sorry about my rambling. Just wanted to drop in and tell how I loved this little one shot. And hope to see something more from you in this fandom soon.

Thanks! Usually when slashing characters, I'm the same way. I either do something to get the female characters out of the way, or I ignore them entirely. I just couldn't do that with Elizabeth.
