Warnings: Spoilers for all series's i think. Especially Children Of Earth.
Short Summary: a young girl, a long way from home, could be the answer to everything. If only they had the strength to hope.
Notes: Just a quick start, to see what people think. Okay, so i was devastated by COE. I understand that it was probably necessary to kill ianto off, as he was jack's main reason to stay on earth, and rtd and others wanted him to be in the next Doctor Who. This is an idea for how torchwood series 4 could start. Hopefully rtd has seen our outrage at ianto's death, and an idea similar to this has formed in his brain too. *crossed fingers*.

Why am I still doing this? What's the point? Gwen Cooper stared down at a picture on her desk They look so happy. God, I miss them.
Tears started to slide down her cheeks and she hastily brushed them away. She couldn't let Rhys see her like this. Not again. Her fingers traced Jack's handsome features, trying to remember him like this; smiles, laughter, his arms round his Ianto. Ianto... Why him... the sight of Jack, broken and lost, leaving her, filled Gwen's mind, pushing away the happy memories. Her hands trembled, on the verge of tears, yet again. She squeezed her eyes shut, clutching the photo to her chest. Come home Jack, she thought desperately, Please.
Gwen's phone buzzed, breaking her out of her trance like state.
"Chris," She said, in what she hoped was an acceptably normal voice, "What's up?"
"You might want to get down here," The voice on the other end of the line said, obviously panicking, "We've got company"
