Help Finding Hotlinkers On LJ
I wanted to share this wonderful little search engine that angstchic pointed me to.

If you host your icons at a website, or a photo album, like Photobucket, it is so very easy to do a search. I have a Photobucket account under "eyesthatslay" so I did a search of "posts" with just my user name. Wa-lah, several pages of various LJ posts popped up that had my name mentioned somewhere in them. Several of them turned out to be hotlinks to my icons in my Photobucket account. Which, surprise, surprise also aren't credited to me either. Grrrr.
I'm commenting on some of the worst offender's LJ's to see if they will willingly remove the hotlinked icons. If I don't get a response, or cooperation, I'll be posting a list of user names here so that everyone can make sure they aren't hotlinked too.
I've also just posted a tutorial about the evils of hotlinking in my LJ if anyone wants to bookmark it.
