Ok...so I never made it to Amsterdam at all. Just as the embarassing-ass rash was going away by Wednesday, I got some kind of bug and ended up staying home from work on Thursday and Friday. So fuck all that. To make matters slightly more humiliating, I watered the plants on our deck on Friday, and woke up Saturday morning with an even bigger and ( Read more... )

i was so unenthused with the first 3 eps of the sopranos this season that i haven't watched any more of it. i'll probably check it out on DVD later when i can watch them all straight through.

Its like soap-opry shit, but in a way that the show largely avoided until now. For whatever retarded reason, they killed the two best storylines over the last two seasons before they even got off the damn ground - Johnny Sack and the rest of New York wanting some kind of revenge on the Sopranos for Tony B. whacking Phil Leotardo's brother and not being fulfilled when Tony S. kills Tony B. himself (and making vague threats against Christopher) and Vito making a behind the scenes power grab by rounding up the disaffected elements of the Sopranos crew while Tony was in his coma. But no...both got nipped in the bud, so instead it's all boring drama crap like "Is Johnny Sack going to plead guilty?" or "Is Christopher going to start using heroin again?" or "Will Carmela ever build that dream house?" or "Why is Artie being such an asshole?" BOOOOOORRRRRRINNNNNGGGG!
But there are still three episodes left in this season, so maybe things will pick up?

This from a man who owns a collection of He-Man episodes, and once spent more than $70 on a collection of He-Man figure re-issues AFTER HE TURNED 21!!!

Gimme a break...

Hopefully it's a case where all of this backstory comes together over the last few episodes and makes the whole season look better in hindsight. It just seems like this season is nothing but small, barely related stories that haven't come together yet. I guess thats why he needed the six extra episodes? If Janice gets killed, this season will be a success!

That's awesome if HBO gave the green light for a fifth season! I think a kind of fresh start with this season with some new characters and more spotlight on Marlo's crew is going to be awesome.

By the way - whats the best way to drop something in the mail for JW? Does he still stop by Atomic Books?

Glad to hear the move went so smoothly! If you're near Charles Village/Roland Park, the closest Target we found is up in Towson...maybe you know something closer?

The Target up near Towson is pretty close by...probably 10 mins from your place. If you're near Loch Raven Blvd, you can just take that north for two or three miles and make a left onto Putty Hill Rd and it's about a mile up on the right hand side in a monster shopping center with a Walmart, Sports Authority, Superfresh, Panera, etc. Its right across the street from Calvert Hall high and its million dollar football fields. There might even be a Checkers up that way! A little South Baltimore humor...

Janice is the pits. If Tony doesn't strangle her, I hope she meets some really humiliating demise, like electrocuting herself on Bobby's trainset or something. Or maybe Carcetti from the Wire stops by and picks her up and they both go off a cliff...something ghoulish!

Wow thanks! I'll definitely be dropping you a line tonight about the stuff for JW. Awesome!
