So the PM was doing room checks this morning and found standing water in one of the rooms. So she went up to the second floor and asked the people in the room above it if she could come in. Doesn't believe in homosexuality? But if homosexuality wasn't real then who are the Phelpses yelling at? Being gay isn't the same as being a unicorn... One of these things is real.

I jest. Hopefully you won't have to discuss it with him at all. It's really not a very professional conversation, and if he brings it up, you should probably report it to the manager as that's the can opener to the harassment can.

He does believe in it, he is just too far in the closet. I really think that people who care so much about it, and are so fervently against it are totally trying to hide something (ala American Beauty neighbor's dad).

I expect if you respect his beliefs and give him space to respect yours, he will.
I dunno... when someone's beliefs negate or deny my existence, I tend to not feel particularly respected.

I agree with with 'bjmacattack' give him a chance, people can surprise you. Has he ever worked in a hotel before, hotels seem to attract gay people (why is that?) Over the past 25-30 years of working in hotels I can only think of a few hotels where I didn't have at least on gay person (and I have worked in some pretty small towns too).
