What? No picture? I have relatives who always happen to see bears in the woods around where we have our family reunions every year. Twenty-nine years years, and I've yet to see one in person. My uncle and cousins found one while turkey hunting this Spring.
Bart and I wanted to go on Skyline Drive during our vacation along the Blueridge Parkway and beyond last fall, but we ran out of time.
We actually tried to get a picture of the bear, Adrienne, but before we could get the camera out it ran away. I think it was more afraid of us than we were of it.
I lived in VA 27 years before I took Skyline Drive and I was so glad I did. It was absolutely gorgeous. I hope you get a chance to see it sometime. :)
